My name is Brian Kramak, and it seems the Adirondack Mountains have stolen my attention, hence the graphic at the top of the page. If you're coming here from VFTT website, you may know me as 'bgk'. Our family started hiking only a couple years ago. It seems that every national pastime (baseball, football, basketball) has gotten so expensive for the average family as to be rediculous.

We decided to start investing more time into experiences 'out of doors', and so far, 4 years later, are better off for the experience.

An extention of this philosophy incorporating more physically challenging trips lead me to the adirondacks, and to the 46 high peaks. This page chronicles my ascents, including near misses. The intent is for this page to act as a summary, with each trip having a page dedicated to it. I'm only going to list the peaks as I climb them, if you want a complete (ms excel) list of the peaks, along with best guess hiking times following a couple days research, click here.

9	Upper & Lower Wolfjaw		10/25/03	10 hrs	Very quiet. Only met one other hiker on trail, only one other set of prints in snow. Lots of ice. Solo.
7	Algonquin & Wright		10/18/03	10.5 hrs	Windy Windy and lots of ICE! Solo. Via Heart Lake. Joined AMC.
5	Cascade & Porter		10/04/03	8.5 hrs	It snowed! No views, but fun in snow. Windy again. Me and Erin.
4	Giant & Rocky Peak Ridge		09/20/03	9 hrs	Steep!!! Solo (with a couple busloads of tourists...).
2	Big Slide via Brothers		09/05/03	8 hrs	Awesome day. Awesome views. Me, Charlie, and Goat.
1	Marshall		08/23/03	n/a	No cigar . made it to knee, .5 mi from summit. Rough trip! Have to do it again. Me, Charlie, Goat, Erin and others.
1	Cascade		10/02	7 hrs	first high peak with Charlie. Windy day!
